Chelsea are aiming to beat Manchester United for signing a central striker - Six Sports

According to several reports that Chelsea  are interested in Benjamin Sesko who is also interested in Manchester United. Chelsea manager Graham Potter is keen on bolstering their attack next season. The player is regarded as one of the most exciting players in Europe right now.

The player was targeted by Premier League rivals Manchester United last month. Sesko has scored 10 goals in the last 25 games he appeared in, he already have plenty of Champions League experience.

He has also been compared to Manchester City’s  Erling Haaland with his 6ft 5 tall figure and being composed in front of the goal. If the Slovenian international even comes close to performing as well as the Manchester City striker then he would be worth every penny for it.

Sesko was originally bought by RB Leipzig  from Salzburg who was later loaned back to the club as a part of the deal. A Spanish news outlet have reported that Graham Potter have asked Todd Boehly to sign Sesko from Leipzig. Whether or not RB Leipzig will accept the offer so soon after signing the young player.

Chelsea have till next summer to convince the parent club before he returns to the club permanently. The Spanish outlet suspects that a fee of around £50m would be required to try and persuade the club. Sesko could be an excellent long-term investment for the club given the youngster’s potential.

Chelsea certainly needs someone in the striker department after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have failed to impress at Stamford Bridge.

The fans of the club were hoping that Armando Broja will deliver goals for the club but after scoring just once in 21 games, the hopes of the fans have dwindled down. Raheem Sterling have been underwhelming since coming to Stamford Bridge, with just scoring five times in 19 matches.
