Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has confirmed that left-back Eduardo Camavinga is fit ahead of their Champions League clash with Manchester City.

Camavinga had a knock during Madrid's La Liga match against Getafe and was observed needing an ice pack on his knee, raising concerns that he would not be available for Wednesday's pivotal match. Camavinga is prepared for the second leg, Modric did reveal.

In a news conference, Modric stated, "He is OK and he's going to play, that's the most important thing." "Since he's been here, he's grown a lot, and he's shown that he can play left-back quite effectively. Although he dislikes playing there, he is doing well, and I wish him luck tomorrow no matter where he plays.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: Camavinga began the first leg and was crucial to Madrid's lone victory.
Camavinga appears in line to start on Wednesday, presumably at left-back, where he will look to build on a strong run of form.
