Die Mannschaft, who will represent Germany at the World Cup later this month, has been named by Hansi Flick. Both the attacker Kai Havertz of Chelsea and the defender Thilo Kehrer of West Ham have been chosen as the 2014 World champions attempt to retain their championship.
Ilkay Gundogan of Manchester City is the only other Premier League player to have played for Germany at a World Cup. Both Jamal Musiala, a recent graduate of Cobham, and former Blues defender Antonio Rudiger have been chosen and will probably play significant roles in Qatar.
Serge Gnabry, a former Arsenal winger, and Leroy Sane, a former Manchester City star, have both been called up. Germany's World Cup campaign kicks off on November 23 against Japan, followed by matches against Spain and Costa Rice on November 27.
Though, before it all kicks off, Hansi's side have a friendly against Oman on November 16. Hansi has explained a number of decisions, including the omission of Borussia Dortmund centre-half Mats Hummels - a player who was central to his nation winning the World Cup in 2014.
The Germany boss said: "Mats is fully fit and in excellent form. But within the coaching team, we decided for a younger player [Bella-Kotchap]. The focus was more on the future."
On why Gotze has been called-up, Flick said: "He's a brilliant footballer who has flashes of inspiration. Mario has been playing at an extremely high level in the past few weeks. He had problems at the beginning, but now he's fully fit. He's really happy and we're looking forward to seeing him."
