A deal for Arsen Zakharyan between Chelsea and Dynamo Moscow has advanced.
The agreement with the Russian winger was almost to be completed in the summer, but financial sanctions prevented it.
Sports.ru reports that the transaction would now be handled by an Armenian bank.
Next month, Zakharyan will travel to Armenia to apply for Armenian citizenship, making it easier to get a work permit in the UK. He won't leave the Russian national team, either, as there is no talk of him switching sports citizenship.
Zakharyan is projected to cost Chelsea €15 million when the new year arrives.
