Marcus Rashford, a forward who graduated from the Manchester United academy, is allegedly a January target for Chelsea.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick last season, the England international striker's performance tanked and he rapidly lost his place on his boyhood team.
Rashford, who scored just four Premier League goals during the 2021–22 season and five overall, was rumored to be moving to either PSG or Arsenal.
Rashford, 24, has had a comeback as the Red Devils attacker so far this season, and Erik ten Hag was eager to keep him on staff.
With six Premier League matches, Rashford has three goals and two assists to his credit, taking advantage of Anthony Martial's physical issues and Ronaldo's time on the sidelines.
Rashford’s long-term future is still the subject of speculations, though, as his deal at Old Trafford is set to expire in 2023, although the Red Devils do possess the option to extend his stay for one more year.
According to La Repubblica, Chelsea are keeping a watchful eye on Rashford’s current situation at Old Trafford and could make approach in January when the transfer window will be re-opened.
The report claims that Rashford’s versatility would be attractive to new Blues head coach Graham Potter.
The Blues believed that could cough up a yearly salary of €12m (£10.5m) for Rashford if they were to secure his services, but the hefty price tag supposedly does not faze them.
