Thomas Tuchel has criticised his defender Kalidou Koulibaly after he was sent off in Chelsea’s humiliating 3-0 loss at Leeds on Sunday.

Brenden Aaronson, Rodrigo, and Jack Harrison scored goals for Leeds in an easy victory over Chelsea on a day to forget for the Blues.

No Blues player could claim to have played well; goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and midfielder Conor Gallagher in particular struggled; yet, Koulibaly stole the show late in the game for all the wrong reasons.

The match was already over when Koulibaly recklessly pulled down Joe Gelhardt in the 84th minute after already receiving a first yellow for grabbing Aaronsen's shirt in the opening minutes. He was given the boot and awarded a second yellow.
Tuchel, who oddly asserted that his team was superior despite the subpar performance and outcome, was  unsurprisingly not too pleased with the 31-year-old’s conduct.

‘It is a bit of a reflection of frustration, and it cannot happen,’ the Chelsea head coach said post-match.

‘We cannot get frustrated in the Premier League. It is a pure joy to play games in an atmosphere like this..
