Chelsea handed boost with Raheem Sterling open to transfer

Sterling has suddenly emerged as the club's main priority, and the Blues are interested in signing a few strikers during the current transfer window.

Although City rejected the Blues' initial offer of £21.4 million plus add-ons, it appears the club is already preparing a follow-up bid for the England international.

Romano reports that Sterling is now eager to move to Stamford Bridge in the meantime. The former Liverpool graduate and I have spoken on personal terms.

Romelu Lukaku is scheduled to leave Chelsea in the upcoming days. For the 2022–2023 season, they have agreed to loan him to Inter Milan, his previous team.

They intend to save his entire £325,000 weekly salary after his departure. The salary recovered may be used to sign Sterling, who makes a comparable wage at City, to a new contract.

Chelsea must first complete a transfer agreement for him, and unless they are prepared to make a sizable second offer, it might not be easy.

City apparently values Sterling at £47 and £52 million, and given that they plan to sell Gabriel Jesus for a price that is near to that, they might stick to their valuation.

Chelsea must demonstrate greater commitment if they want to retain his services. Todd Boehly, owner.

The Frenchman has yet to be convinced by Barcelona to extend his contract beyond June 30. Chelsea are prepared to stay patient until he leaves the club.

Tuchel prefers to sign both Sterling and Dembele and sees the former as a potential number nine.
