Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is confident that Eduardo Camavinga will recover in time to face Manchester City on Wednesday

The 20-year-old was one of only three Madrid players to start the La Liga match against Getafe on Saturday night in the same position as in the first leg.

Eight players were substituted, with Ancelotti choosing to rest players like Vinicius and Karim Benzema ahead of the second leg at the Etihad.

Camavinga, however, gave Madrid a scare when he hobbled off the field during the 1-0 victory after jarring his knee.
The French midfielder played at left-back in the first leg, due to the ongoing absence of Ferland Mendy, and he played a key role in Madrid’s goal.
However, after initial fears that he would miss the clash at the Etihad, Ancelotti says the injury is ‘nothing’ and Camavinga will be fit.

“It’s just a blow and he will recover fast,’ said the Italian.

E’veryone should be ready to face Manchester City. Camavinga has a knock, but he should be fine.

‘Yes, he had a small twist in his knee, but it’s a blow, nothing more. Tomorrow he will rest, like the rest of those who have played.”

‘He has twisted his knee a little bit but he is stable. The most important thing is stability, 100 per cent. Now the inside of his knee is bothering him a little bit, but it’s nothing.’
