'Good news': Chelsea player has changed his mind about staying, he loves Graham Potter - journalist

Jorginho allegedly had pondered quitting Chelsea, but is now willing to stay with the team, according to Ben Jacobs.

Jacobs said that the midfielder has recently grown more passionate about staying at Stamford Bridge during an appearance on the ChelseaFC365 podcast.

For a while now, Jorginho has been the focus of intense transfer speculation.
Jorginho is considering signing with Chelsea.
Many people wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea decided not to extend Jorginho's contract because he is 30 years old and perhaps past his prime.

It might also enable another, younger midfielder to replace him in Graham Potter's squad while slashing a sizeable portion of the payroll.

Jacobs has clarified that rather than moving away from a new contract, the Italy international might instead be heading towards one.

"Jorginho is an exception. it’s a more formative process. The contract talks haven’t really begun in any significant or formal way. I fully expect Chelsea to offer a competitive new deal, it’s just not certain whether he’ll sign one,” he said.

“The good news is that Jorginho now, compared to the Jorginho at the beginning of the window, has a different mindset.

“He feels still integral and wanted and he likes the man management of Potter and he believes Chelsea are going to take great strides forward
