Mateo Kovacic's contract is at a critical point, and he is rumored to be moving to Bayern Munich.

Mateo Kovacic is out of contract next summer and is already being linked with moves elsewhere.  This evening the Sun link the midfielder with Bayern Munich, where his old coach Thomas Tuchel is apparently keen to bring him in.
We know that the new Chelsea ownership are going to be ruthless with players who enter the final year of their contract, so while the news about Mason Mount is dominating the headlines, Kovacic is another who could be sold this summer if he doesn’t agree a new deal.
Enzo Fernandez plays a similar role, and while Kovacic has plenty of quality, most Chelsea fans would accept his departure in the summer if he doesn’t want to sign a new contract – they would certainly be happier
with that than watching homegrown Mason Mount walk away. There’s still plenty of time for a deal to be found however, and we don’t expect to let him go without a fight.
