Graham Potter will only get one season as boss of Chelsea – fans told

Graham Potter will not be the manager of Chelsea for the start of next season – Pundit Iomie Stanley has claimed

Chelsea were sold last summer to American owner Ted Boehly – and the new boss made a massive decision early in the season to sack Champions League winning coach Thomas Tuchel

Tuchel had come under alot of criticism for the clubs early performances at the beginning of the season – and for his antics on the sidelines – and for that – he was let go by Boehly

And the American made the big decision to hand Potter a chance to make the step up and manage one of the biggest clubs in world football – and manage some of the best players in the Premier League

He has been praised over the season for the work he has done with Brighton – the style of play – the hunger to get the best out of the squad and that is why Chelsea paid £16 million to secure his services

But if you believe the words of Iomie Stanley – he will not be coaching Chelsea for the start of next season

He told icfootballnews: ‘Potter is a very good young manager that was working wonders at Brighton and we can see why he was brought to Chelsea’

‘However – Boehly is a man with big ambitions and knows that there was not a manager that could have taken over the club so soon at the beginning of the season – they are all taken or on sabbatical’

‘Potter was the easy move as he was ready to leave Brighton for a big move and the Premier League side were ready to take some serious cash for their talented boss.

‘But to take Chelsea to that next level – to get the side in the Champions League on a yearly basis – win trophies and challenge for the Premier League title – Potter is not the man.

‘He hasnt dont it in the past and does not have the ability to manage some top-level players that have only played for the best – we have already seen that he is struggling to get the best out of his stars – they are not hungry enough.
