Could Todd Boehly be about to repeat and pull off a transfer trick that helped Chelsea land their latest signing?

Chelsea to sign Wilfried Zaha is a transfer rumor that has gained some traction recently. The Ivorian had previously been connected to a move to Stamford Bridge while Antonio Conte was in command, but nothing happened at the time.

The duration of his contract allowed Crystal Palace to demand £60-70 million from clubs like the Blues and Arsenal, who have also been linked with interest in the past. Ahead of the transfer deadline on September 1st, new attackers are on the agenda for the new owners as Todd Boehly is now undergoing a tremendous exodus of transfer outgoings, with Timo Werner the most recent to be confirmed out the door.

The primary striker target is anticipated to be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang  as Chelsea awaits a final 'green light' from Barcelona to make their moves, it is understood that a new wide player could also be on the cards as Callum Hudson-Odoi's loan exit looms closer despite his next club not being known for certain. In fact, Chelsea could repeat a Marc Cucurella trick to try and get what they want in this situation. Brighton received Levi Colwill on loan in a separate deal to the £63m transfer operation that the Blues completed last Friday.
