After speaking with Tuchel, the talented midfielder was instructed to finalise the Chelsea transfer.

Billy Gilmour has been advised by Noel Whelan to pursue a permanent transfer away from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

It is quite simple to overlook that there are a lot of talented stars already at the club that are strongly rumored to leave the Blues when considering all the players being linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.
After moving to the Under-23 squad from the first team's preseason trip, Gilmour is scheduled to speak with Thomas Tuchel. It is commonly believed that Gilmour will leave the organization during the transfer window.

Whelan has pushed the young midfielder to look for a permanent move in order to take an essential first step in building a successful career. It has been repeatedly stated that Newcastle manager Eddie Howe would love to sign him on loan in the upcoming weeks.

He told Football Insider's Ewan Kingsbury, "I don't see where he's heading with Chelsea.

It's telling that this will be his second loan in the span of two seasons. The writing is on the wall because he is 21 and playing for Scotland rather than Chelsea.

"The club doesn't need him. He needs to make an effort to relocate permanently and establish himself at that club.

"Only then will you be able to really start building your profession and experiencing a sense of place.

It's quite simple to wind up simply receiving volleys from Chelsea each season and returning on loan each summer.

"Having a club pay you to play somewhere else can't be a good feeling."
