According to sources, CHELSEA is prepared to make RB Leipzig center-back Josko Gvardiol their top transfer target to replace Cesar Azpilicueta.

The 20-year-old Gvardiol has been linked to Chelsea all summer, and the Blues are looking to add three central defenders this transfer window.

Last year, the Croatian played 46 times for RB Leipzig, contributing to the team's DFB Pokal victory and Champions League qualification.

Kalidou Kouliably's transfer to Chelsea from Napoli has already been finalised, and SunSport has exclusively revealed that Sevilla and Chelsea have agreed to a deal for Jules Kounde, who is valued at £55 million.

Nathan Ake of Manchester City was a player that Thomas Tuchel wanted to sign, but the champions refused to sell, allowing the spotlight to fall on Gvardiol.

There is room for one more, and a new hire would force Cesar Azpilicueta, the captain of Chelsea, to depart for Barcelona.
