The news comes after Thomas Tuchel revealed to supporters that the team is seeking to add a few more players to its roster so that it can contend with Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League championship.

According to Football Daily, he stated, "I believe we need to add a few more players to strengthen the group.

We finished third the previous year. There was a difference between us and Manchester City and Liverpool, and in general if you want to keep your title, you need to win. We cannot go on and on about the reasons, but if you want to fight for the same positon you need to improve, you can never stand still.
"Other teams will pass you if you remain stagnant, so given the circumstance that we even lost players, it seems to me like simple sense that we need to add new talent to the team to retain our level."
