Chelsea join Man Utd in Antony transfer race as Thomas Tuchel looks to steal Ajax winger away from Erik ten Hag

Chelsea is reportedly planning to compete with Manchester United for the services of Ajax star Antony, dealing Manchester United a huge blow.

According to 90Min, the Blues spoke with the winger's reps while they were recently in the UK.

As manager Thomas Tuchel searches for striking reinforcements during the summer transfer window, the West Londoners are "watching" the position of the Brazil international.

Since moving to Ajax from Sao Paulo in 2020, the 22-year-old has prospered under Erik ten Hag, amassing a total of 22 goals and 20 assists in 78 games.

In an effort to get his new team back in the running for the Premier League crown, United manager Ten Hag wants to work with the Brazilian once more.

According to Football 365, Antony is one of the "top three" summer targets for Red Devils CEO Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough.

Along with Frenkie de Jong of Barcelona and Christian Eriksen, who will be a free agent on June 30 after his six-month contract with Brentford expires, the versatile forward is on the list.

Chelsea, on the other hand, is also considering further offensive possibilities, like as Ousmane Dembele, whose contract with Barcelona expires later this month.

Raheem Sterling, a star for Manchester City, is apparently interested in moving to Stamford Bridge, and the Blues have reportedly talked with his agents.

The Leeds star Raphinha has also been connected with the West Londoners, and sources say that Tuchel plans to deploy him as a wing-back in the upcoming campaign.
