Tuchel confirmed the plan for Hudson-Odoi last month, with the winger and Ben Chilwell having personal programmes before the rest of the squad made their way back to Cobham.
“Dropped out of the squad from one day to the other more or less," Tuchel said back in May on Hudson-Odoi’s absence.
"Still in individual training, progressing but not in team training.
The Chelsea team will start reporting for duty again on July 2; players who competed for their country earlier in the month will receive an additional week off.
Before departing for their preseason tour of the United States, Tuchel and his team will spend a few weeks in England. There, they will play Club America, Charlotte FC, and Arsenal over the course of a week that will begin on July 16 in Las Vegas.
Next season, Hudson-Odoi may face additional competition in his wide attacking position as the Blues are rumored to be interested in signing Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona and Raheem Sterling of Manchester City.
In an effort to please Tuchel, Hudson-Odoi has been said to have taken "virtually any time off this summer, working relentlessly to get back to full fitness." He will be hoping to avoid injuries next season.
Hudson-work Odoi's has already started. Todd Boehly and the new ownership have already begun, and upon his return to Cobham, Tuchel will be delighted to welcome Hudson-Odoi and some new arrivals through the door.
