Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz has struggled to kick-on this season after scoring the winner in last season's Champions League final.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has arguably endured his toughest week since taking the helm at Stamford Bridge in January. The Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat against Manchester City in an early-season Premier League clash-of-the-titans last Saturday before succumbing to Juventus in the Champions League by the same scoreline on Wednesday.

The defeats have cast doubts over whether Chelsea have the consistency required to compete on all fronts this season.

The west Londoners had started the season in emphatic fashion, racking-up four wins in their first five games to storm to the top of the Premier League table.

They have looked impregnable at the back, with their regimented system reaping a plethora of clean sheets.

But at the other end of the pitch, Chelsea have stuttered against the big boys.
