Chelsea 'have always liked' Victor Osimhen and could look to lure the Napoli star to Stamford Bridge in the summer, journalist Simon Phillips has told GiveMeSport.
The Blues were not afraid to splash the cash last month and broke the British transfer record by forking out £106.8million for Enzo Fernandez, but head coach Graham Potter will be handed another opportunity to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
Chelsea transfer news - Victor Osimhen
According to 90min, Chelsea have identified Osimhen as their primary striker target ahead of the transfer window reopening for business later this year.
The report suggests the Nigeria international's £133million price tag has not put the west Londoners off attempting to reach an agreement with Napoli.
Osimhen still has just shy of two-and-a-half years remaining on his £93,000-per-week contract, putting his current employers in a strong negotiating position.
But Chelsea could still look to test Napoli's resolve as reliable reporter Phillips recently told GiveMeSport the Blues have been scouting the 24-year-old for a prolonged period.
Liverpool and Real Madrid have joined the race for Osimhen's signature, while Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are further admirers.
