Having eyed Brighton star Moises Caicedo and West Ham’s Declan Rice, both targets have been priced out of a move this month and this led to shock talks with Chelsea for Jorginho.
The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and was set to leave for nothing when his deal expired but the Blues have instead landed a fee for his sale.
Nevertheless, the transfer has split opinion among the Chelsea fanbase, with one supporter ecstatic to see the ex-Napoli star make the trip up to north London.
Bob, the Chelsea fan, rang in on the White and Jordan show and said: “I just want to say good riddance, basically.
“At the end of the day, he has bored the backsides of us for three years. We go backwards with him.
