The French publication claims that the 31-year-old will step up his rehabilitation over the next month after having already returned to light training.
Kante has not played since the 2-2 draw against Tottenham back in August when he picked up a serious hamstring injury.
It was decided that surgery was the only way to fix the problem, and he was ruled out for four months when it was announced he had gone under the knife back in October.
From the looks of things, Kante’s comeback is right on schedule but it does mean he is unlikely to be available for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund next month.
The France international is also not expected to feature in the league matches versus Fulham, West Ham, Southampton and Tottenham.
