Pulisic was regarded as one of the finest talents in world football before he made the move to Chelsea – but despite some decent performances – he has looked nothing like the player he was over at Borussia Dortmund.
He struggles to make much on an impact on that Chelsea squad and when he does have a decent run in the side – he picks up some kind of injury which halts his progression at Stamford Bridge.
That has led to alot of speculation in the media that he is considering leaving Chelsea in the winter window – with a number of top clubs keeping a close eye on his current situation.
The Gunners are monitoring him as he performs well at the World Cup, according to a recent report on The Daily Mail.
Pulisic has put in two incredible performances for the USA as they seek to progress through to the knock-out stages of the Competition – and he looks like a player that could make a real difference to any side.
However – despite all the rumours that he could be departing the club in the January window – Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has dispelled rumours stating that Pulisic might be on his way out of the club in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The Journalist says Pulisic is highly unlikely to leave unless a “great and interesting offer” arrives after the World Cup.
Our view
It is easy to see why there is so much speculation about Pulisic – but if he does leave in the January window – Chelsea better have a read-made back-up as he will be missed – despite his indifferent performances.
It will be interesting to see if the Gunners do make a move though.
