Potter wants Chelsea to sign PL star he thinks is 'fantastic, but he would cost more than Cucurella

According to reports, Chelsea is one of the teams interested in Moises Caicedo of Brighton.

During his brief stay at the Amex Stadium, Caicedo, 20, has had a significant impact on the Premier League.

The Ecuadorian international is an all-around central midfielder with excellent strength, endurance, and ball skills.

He appears to be a big force in the park this season, despite his young.

Chelsea learned this on Saturday when they lost to Brighton 4-1. Caicedo was one of many players for the home team to stand out.

Moises Caicedo has the interest of Chelsea.
The Mirror claims that Brighton would be willing to sell Caicedo for a mouthwatering £85 million.

Newcastle United and Chelsea are reportedly both interested in the South American youngster. Liverpool and Manchester United could try sign him, too.

The report adds that Chelsea boss Potter, who coached Caicedo at Brighton, is plotting a reunion at Stamford Bridge.
It cost a whopping £60million to bring Marc Cucurella from Brighton to the Bridge during the recent summer transfer window, but it would cost even more to raid them yet again for another player.
Caicedo is clearly a player well known to Chelsea’s coaching staff. Incidentally, Potter described the midfielder enforcer as “fantastic” earlier this year.

It’s worth noting that Brighton’s midfielder actually admitted in a recent interview he wouldn’t be able to turn down a move to a big club like Chelsea.

For £85million, the Blues need to weigh up is he really worth it.

There’s no doubt he’s looking the real deal this season in England’s top flight, but he’s still very young and it’s a lot of money.
