Raheem Sterling tipped as an upgrade on Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic – and Blues also linked with Gabriel Jesus transfer despite Arsenal and Tottenham links

Manchester City's star player has been linked with a move to Chelsea, with rumors claiming he might depart the Etihad this summer.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are likely to be strengthened this summer with the Blues being given a £200million war chest by new owner Todd Boehly in order to mount a serious title challenge next term.

While Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona have all been connected with Sterling, a transfer might be contingent on Chelsea unloading players like Pulisic, who has failed to live up to expectations, according to Cascarino.

"I truly thought that Pulisic would be a wonderful player for Chelsea when they recruited him," ex-Chelsea striker Cascarino remarked on talkSPORT.

"I anticipated he'd be a top player, but due to injuries, it hasn't quite worked out."

"One thing Raheem has is that he's a really durable player. Hopefully, he doesn't get hurt, but he's a very durable player."

“For Tuchel, I could see Chelsea attempting to get that type of wide man, absolutely.

“Why wouldn’t you? His numbers, he creates and he just stretches teams.

“Pace always stretches teams and if you want to be countering, Raheem is good in counter-attacking teams because he’s so  devastating with his pace.”

The Blues could raid Man City this summer, with reports suggesting they could also sign Sterling’s teammate Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazil striker has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Tottenham.
