Thomas Tuchel wins October Premier League manager of the month award

Thomas Tuchel has been named manager of the month for October by the Premier League.

His Chelsea team were superb, racking up 4 wins in 4 games with 3 clean sheets, and scoring 14 goals in the process.

Most of that was without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, meaning a cornucopia of goalscorers stepped up to help the Blues batter Norwich and Newcastle.

The games against Southampton and Brentford at the start of the month were much less fun, but the gritty defending his team employed throughout both shows the other side of Tuchel’s coaching genius.

There are big tests this month – Leicester and Manchester United are both on the horizon. But we have total faith in Tuchel to conquer those tasks too.

This is Tuchel’s second award – he also won the March trophy last season. But we have a feeling it won’t be his last. He’s a top class manager with a top class squad, and he’s only just getting started.
