Manchester United confirm they will be without three key players vs Chelsea

Manchester United could be without three to four key players ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.

Via their official club website, Manchester United have ruled their centre-back pair; Harry Maguire (suspension) and Raphael Varane (thigh injury), out of the trip to Stamford Bridge at the weekend.

It also remains unclear whether Luke Shaw, who could be an option for central defensive roles, will make the squad.

The England international suffered a head injury at Vicarage Road last weekend and did not travel to Villarreal on Wednesday.

In midfield, Paul Pogba also remains out through a likely long-term thigh injury.

However, Edinson Cavani, who has been struggling with a tendon issue, and Mason Greenwood, who has had a two-game absence due to Covid-19, could return for the big game.
