RB Leipzig playmaker Christopher Nkunku is linked with a move to Chelsea amidst interest from Newcastle United. The French attacker has recently taken the services of Pini Zahavi, which could mean that he is set for a transfer to the PL.
Nkunku joined RB Leipzig from PSG in 2019 as he struggled to get playing time. Following his move, Christopher has been sensational for the Bundesliga side and has risen to the top as one of the most desired footballers. The 23-year-old attacker has scored 22 goals and provided 32 assists in 100 matches for his current club.
The French attacker recently scored in the 2-2 draw with PSG in the UCL and has also scored a hat-trick against Man City this campaign. Nkunku got into his stride this term as he scored ten goals and provided five assists in 16 matches.
Even though his side has been poor in the UCL, Nkunku has been one of the few positives in the tournament. This Leipzig attacker is also very dynamic and can play at many positions without a drop off in his output. A footballer like him would be a great asset to any team, provided he is given an opportunity.
Chelsea could capitalise on the already confirmed interest should they decide to not keep Saul Niguez. If they do not activate the purchase option in his deal, it could vacate a midfield position in the future.
