Chelsea transfer round-up: Matthijs De Ligt, Jules Kounde and Lorenzo Insigne linked

Chelsea fans are used to seeing their club linked with some of the top names in world football.

Following Roman Abramovich's acquisition of the club in 2003 the Blues have been able to attract some of the best players the game has had to offer.

And with a champions in the trophy cabinet and one of the sport's best managers in the form of Thomas Tuchel, the Blues are a really attractive prospect for players.

And they could be about to pull off three more huge signings in the January transfer window, if the latest reports are to be believed.

Those aren't the only names being linked and one of Europe's hottest young properties has also been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge, while one first-team player has been linked with a move to Xavi's.

Matthijs De Ligt, Jules Kounde and Lorenzo Insigne could all arrive at Stamford Bridge in January as director Marina Granovskaia continues to try and build Thomas Tuchel his dream XI, Spanish newspaper Marca reports.

Insigne's contract is due to expire at the end of the season, with Marca reporting 'there appears to be some distance between player and club in renewal talks'.

That could lead to Chelsea swooping in for the Italy international, while Matthijs De Ligt and Jules Kounde are being lined up to replace Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, whose contracts are also set to expire next summer.
