Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel could come to regret his decision to allow Marc Guehi to join Crystal Palace this summer after Eagles manager Patrick Vieira tipped the defender to become an international in the future. Guehi joined Palace on a five-year deal after the south Londoners shelled out £18million for him.
The 21-year-old has played every minute of Premier League action for the Eagles this season, forming a solid partnership with Joachim Andersen at the heart of the Palace backline.
He’s a young player who wants to develop himself,” Vieira said of Guehi ahead of his side’s clash with Arsenal on Monday night.
“He wants to really fulfil his potential - and his work ethic and his concentration is really good.
“This is why I believe that he has the attributes to be one day an international player.
“As a manager and a football club, we will give him the support that he needs to keep improving and to keep challenging himself.
“He is really calm, really composed. His competitiveness is unbelievable.
