Malmo defender proved right after describing 22-year-old as Chelsea's 'most dangerous' attacker

Malmo defender Niklas Moisander expected Chelsea star Kai Havertz to cause most problems for their defence during their visit to Stamford Bridge — and the German proved him right.

The Champions League tie ended with a comfortable 4-0 win for the Blues.

Thomas Tuchel initially opted to start Romelu Lukaku but had to replace the striker with Havertz after just 23 minutes due to an injury.

The 22-year-old certainly did well, scoring a goal and making a big impact on the game overall.

After his inconsistent start to the season, which even invited criticism from Tuchel, not many would have expected Havertz to easily hit his stride despite the lack of minutes at Chelsea.

Malmo’s Moisander, however, expected it.

Having spent five years at Werder Bremen, the veteran centre-back has had the opportunities to face several Chelsea attackers, including Havertz, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic. But he admitted that the former Bayer Leverkusen ace impressed him the most.

“I think Havertz is a very good player,” the 35-year-old told Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen before the game.

“They’re all top players, of course, but Havertz is a No.10 who gets into the box, can make assists and goals — he can do it all.
