Chelsea injury update: N’Golo Kante, Cesar Azpilicueta and Christian Pulisic return dates and latest newws

After a terrible stretch for his side, Graham Potter called Chelsea's injury issue "unprecedented."

At Stamford Bridge, the former Brighton manager is coming under increasing pressure as agitated fans urge for his dismissal more frequently.

Even so, it is difficult to deny that the Blues' injury list has not improved the position. Potter has obviously been unable to get a large amount of quality, despite the fact that there are other issues.

Even with players returning, Reece James, Thiago Silva, and Hakim Ziyech had to sit out the defeat to Southampton due to their recent exertion, with balance appearing to be a serious problem.

These are the most recent Chelsea injury updates...

Under Potter, Kante has not yet played.

The midfielder is back training on an individual basis but, such have been the length of his injury problems over the past year or so, it seems unlikely Chelsea will take any risks.

Return date: March 2023

Chelsea’s skipper was forced off against Southampton with a nasty-looking head injury but has since provided a positive update as to his condition.

Return date: Saturday 4 March 2023

Pulisic has been injured since the FA Cup loss at Manchester City last month but has since hinted he would be “back soon”.

Quite where he fits into the team at the moment, however, remains to be seen.

Return date: March 2023
