As soon as possible, according to Gabby Agbonlahor, Chelsea and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will split ways. This might happen this week.
Since Chelsea's former manager Thomas Tuchel wanted to be backed in the market, a number of players, including some famous names, were connected to them during the summer transfer window.
Aubameyang was the name that joined the team, despite all the top players who were extensively connected with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Aubameyang, who joined Chelsea on the final day of the transfer window from Barcelona last summer, has had a dreadful time there and appears to have reached the pinnacle of his abilities.
With all the agreements signed in the January window – Potter made the massive decision to leave out Aubameyang from their Champions League squad – and Agbonlahor has claimed that he could leave the club this week.
The English transfer window closed last week but clubs in the United States, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates remain open – he told Football Insider: “Not at all.
“Aubameyang will want to leave as soon as possible, and Potter will want him out as soon as possible.
“I feel for him, because he signed to play under Thomas Tuchel.
“It was harsh for Aubameyang.
“But he’s not the same player either. And that will happen with age. He’s in his 30’s – and he’s lost a yard of pace.
“I think his next move could end up being a Turkey, a UAE, or an MLS.
“I’m sure Chelsea won’t want someone at the club who is unlucky.
“They’ve brought in two new options, Fofana and Joao Felix – and that’s who will be getting the minutes.”
