Chelsea are planning to sack Graham Potter but who is going to replace him?

Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has had a difficult time adjusting to life at Stamford Bridge, and only a few months into his new position, there are rumors that he will soon be fired, according to Fichajes.net.

The former Brighton manager joined the Blues back in September, but Chelsea have been continuously losing under his leadership. He has played in 29 games thus far in all competitions, and the London team has only been successful in winning 14 of them.

Despite completing numerous January acquisitions, Chelsea is now ninth in the Premier League and has won just one of their past five league contests.

Potter is under increasing pressure, and the most recent information indicates that Chelsea are keeping tabs on former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique to be their next boss.

Enrique has been out of a job since the 2022 World Cup and his last club assignment was back in 2017 when he was the manager at Barcelona. However, the Spaniard is still one of the top managers in Europe and if Potter cannot pull up his socks then Luis Enrique could be the next Chelsea manager.

Todd Boehly has spent a lot of money to bring in new signings at the club so the last thing he will want is an incompetent manager at the helm.

A club like Chelsea need to play in the Champions League but the way they are moving right now, the UCL seems like a far-fetched dream for them. Right now, they are 10 points away from the fourth spot so on paper they still have a chance but we doubt if Potter will be given too much time.

The new owner will want results as soon as possible and if Chelsea cannot get past Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League then there is a big chance that Graham Potter will be shown the door immediately after.

Atletico Madrid have been linked with Luis Enrique in the previous weeks but if Chelsea make an offer before them then we don’t see why the 52-year-old won’t take up the job.
