Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, will support Graham Potter as he attempts to restructure his team throughout the forthcoming transfer windows. The futures of several Blues players at Stamford Bridge are questionable, therefore the team desperately needs reinforcements.
Given that both players are entering the final six months of their current contracts, N'Golo Kante and Jorginho might not remain at Chelsea for the 2023–24 season. Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund is one player who has been mentioned frequently in connection with a move to west London.
Bellingham is destined to depart Dortmund next summer, and as Liverpool, Manchester City, and Real Madrid prepare proposals for the 19-year-old, he will be the subject of a massive bidding battle that might surpass £100 million. Blues are anticipated to to match any rival bid for Bellingham, but the England international will use a similar method to decide his next club as former Dortmund teammate Erling Haaland did, before eventually moving to the Etihad Stadium.
Former Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has described Bellingham as a mix of Blues legend Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard. Petit told Midnite: "I love Jude Bellingham.
"He's the mix between Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard. He's very mature, and his body language on the pitch is tremendous.
"He can do so many things on the pitch so for me, he's one of the best players [in his position] in the world right now."
Bellingham has shown with his performances for England that he has the capability to contribute in defence and attack. He scored the Three Lions' opening goal of the tournament in Qatar with a brilliant header, arriving late into the box as Lampard used to do for Chelsea.
Bellingham's athleticism and ability to track back, win the ball and drive his team up the pitch also shows similarities to that of Gerrard, who was close to moving to Stamford Bridge back in 2005. Whoever signs Bellingham in the summer transfer window will have secured one of the best talents in the world and a player that can lead their team's midfield for years to come
