Todd Boehly handed clear Rafael Leao Chelsea transfer message in Portugal display against Ghana

Chelsea's supporters have made it very plain that they want the AC Milan and Portugal player Rafael Leao in the January transfer window. It follows the forward's immediate impact during his country's World Cup opening match against Ghana in the group stages.

The 23-year-old was left off the starting lineup, but in the first two minutes after coming off the bench, he demonstrated his full potential. It gave his team a two-goal lead, but it was also a vital finish because their opponents scored a late goal to make the final few minutes tense.

Leao's performance sparked a lot of transfer rumors in the months that followed, with Chelsea keeping an eye on a prospective departure as his contract at AC Milan dwindles. With his quality at just 23 years old already showing, owner and interim sporting director Todd Boehly has been urged to flip the switch on a deal.
