A few transfer windows after making a move back to Manchester – Ronaldo is back on the market after having his contract at Old Trafford terminated for a TV interview that he had recently done with Piers Morgan.
That has led to all sorts of speculation and rumours about where he could end up – as a whole host of clubs – linked with a January move for the Portuguese star.
But amid all the speculation – Leboeuf has opened up and told Ronaldo what club he should join – while also warning us about making a move for the player.
‘Do you know, last summer, I thought Chelsea had a chance to have him,’ former Blues defender Leboeuf told ESPN FC
‘I thought because of the season he had last season, it would have been a good idea, because Chelsea had something [lacking] in their front line.
‘But this season, with the season he is having, I don’t really want to see him.’
Pressed on why he did not want Chelsea to sign Ronaldo in January, Leboeuf added: ‘You have to change your game [plan] because of the attention you have to give to Ronaldo.
‘When he is on the field you have to play for him, we have talked about that many times.
‘He hasn’t got the power of changing a game like he used to have.
‘With all due respect, he was a fantastic player, but he is not the same. That is clear and we can all see that.
