Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a January move for Manchester United academy graduate forward Marcus Rashford.

The 23-year-old center back's departure from Stamford Bridge was hotly rumored during the summer, but the window closed with the defender staying in London.

Despite signing a new contract with the West London club last November, Chalobah's current contract with the organization has four more years left to run. However, his future with the organization is currently up in the air.

Only once this season has the former England Under-21 international appeared, playing the full 90 minutes against Leicester City in the English top division on August 27.

In addition, Chalobah was not deployed as a substitute last week in the Champions League matchup vs Red Bull Salzburg, which served as Graham Potter's debut game in control of the group.

Football Transfers claims that the 23-year-old standout will most likely   to depart from the Blues on loan during the January window, and AS Roma are currently at the head of the queue for his services, with the Italian giants head coach Jose Mourinho keen on a deal.

The report suggests that Aston Villa had been interested in his services over the summer, however, Steven Gerrard’s side are no longer in the running, with AS Roma the front runners at this stage.

Inter Milan and AC Milan are also believed to have looked at signing Chalobah during the recent transfer window before moving on to other targets.
