£54m star tells Board he wants to be at Chelsea – Blues confident £102m man will be signed – Kounde confidence

Pulisic tells Chelsea he wants to stay – De Ligt deal closer – Chelsea confident on Kounde signing in Chelsea news of the day –

Chelsea are still very confident that Jules Kounde will be a Blues by the end of the transfer window – according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.

Kounde is a player that has been in the media alot over the past few weeks as he is seen as the perfect replacement for Antonio Rudiger at Chelsea after the German left the club for Real Madrid

He is quick – strong – good with the ball and very good in the air despite the fact he is not the biggest of central defenders – and it has been constantly claimed that he is desperate to sign for Chelsea as quick as he can

But despite all the rumours that he was set for a move to Chelsea – the Blues have been linked with moves for the likes of Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt and Inter’s Milan Skriniar while Barcelona had moved to the front of the queue for Kounde.

However – Spanish media report that Boehly has finally made contact over a transfer, reaching out this month to begin work on a deal.

Th reports claims There is a feeling from all parties that the transfer will be relatively uncomplicated to complete, with Sevilla lowering their asking price since last summer and Kounde happy with the personal terms that were already agreed a year ago.

Now – amid all the speculation – journalist Jacobs believes the Blues believe that they can striker a deal with Sevilla over the signing of Kounde

Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT: “There were some reports out there over the last two weeks that the Kounde deal has stalled.

“But my understanding is that Chelsea haven’t given up and even though Sevilla have tried to hold out for the release fee, which I believe is €69million.

“Chelsea are still confident of shaving around €5million off that and coming to an agreement before the end of the window, so Kounde is still on the table.”
