Possible Tuchel signing announces interest in dream Chelsea move

Free agent goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha says he feels ‘honoured’ to have been linked with a switch to Chelsea.

Chelsea are expected to be one of the most active teams in the transfer window this summer – as the club seek to add a new identity under new owner Ted Boehly.

That implies a lot of new players will be signed to replace those who have already departed – as well as those who are anticipated to leave in the coming months.

And one of those players is Kepa, the Spanish goalkeeper who was once touted to become one of the finest in the world but has failed to live up to the lofty expectations placed on his shoulders.

It is commonly assumed that he will depart Chelsea during the summer transfer window, and it has been suggested that Thomas Tuchel is interested in bringing him to the club.

The Albania international is searching for a new club as he is leaving Lazio when his contract at the club expires at the end of June – as he was not offered the contract that he desired

Strakosha has made 208 appearances over a decade-long spell with the Italian side – but after hearing that Chelsea are interested in a possible deal – he has admitted that he would love a move to the Premier League

“I am completely honoured to be linked with such a club as Chelsea,” he told the Here We Go podcast with Fabrizio Romano.

“All the Premier League clubs.. to be linked is important, because it’s the best league in the world.

“I started from the bottom like most of the kids, dreaming about this moment, so to be linked with them is a big honour.

“I’m really happy that what I have done is paying off. I will take my time to decide. I have many things to decide.”
