Manager pleading with hierarchy to keep player as Chelsea hover

Chelsea are looking to try and sign one major free agent this summer, and the crucial time is soon arriving.

Ousmane Dembele’s contract at Barcelona finishes at the end of this month, meaning he is soon to become a free agent and without a club. The Catalan side could be losing a top player, but manager Xavi has been pleading with his bosses to try and make them keep the French international.

According to The Daily Mail, Xavi is making one more attempt to urge Dembele to stay at the club by persuading the club hierarchy to offer him a deal he will accept.

Dembele has so far refused to accept the terms put in front of him, and it appears doubtful that he will do so until they are changed.

According to the same claim, Chelsea, or rather Thomas Tuchel, is loitering, ready to pounce, and eager for a reunion with the star.
