Leicester City defender linked with summer move to Chelsea

Leicester City star Caglar Soyuncu has reportedly ended up in the sights of multiple top European sides and the list includes Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

AS report the centre-half is an option for Real Madrid, even though the club have a deal in place with the Blues’ centre-back, Antonio Rüdiger.

The Galacticos asked about the conditions to snap up the 25-year-old on the instructions of chairman Emilio Butragueno. The report also says the Blues are interested in the Foxes player.

It’s claimed the Londoners, Manchester City and Juventus are poised to sign him in the summer. His contract with the King Power Stadium outfit runs down in 2023 and it is stated he is worth €40 million.

Apart from the Blues, the Citizens, Los Blancos, I Bianconeri AS add that Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are also keen on the Turkey international.

The La Liga club already tried to snap him up, when Caglar was Altınordu between 2014 and 2016.

His former entourage, Mustafa Dogru, has now backed him to depart his current club and join a club like Chelsea or Barcelona in the summer window.

“It is possible that Caglar can go to play for Barcelona this summer. Barca already wanted to sign him when he played for Altinordu. We have negotiated with them, and they had presented a project,” he told AS.

“But we thought that he should go to a team where he is a permanent starter, for him to develop properly. For this reason, we decided to accept the Freiburg proposal.

“I think clubs such as Liverpool, City or Chelsea have the power to sign Caglar Soyuncu in the Premier League due to their economic conditions, but we must not forget French teams. PSG could be a surprise.”
