Four players unavailable as Tuchel makes seven changes - Chelsea's best XI vs Malmo

Chelsea head into the match against Malmo sitting second in their group behind Juventus.

Chelsea  boss Thomas Tuchel may well be looking to make wholesale changes against Malmo in the Champions League this evening despite Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner all being unavailable. Express Sport takes a look at how Tuchel could line up.

Goalkeeper: Mendy

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been given minutes at Chelsea this season, largely in the EFL Cup.

But Edouard Mendy is the undisputed No 1 and will be expected to keep his place between the sticks against Malmo.

While the Swedish club are yet to score in their three Champions League group games, Chelsea can ill-afford any slip-ups.

Mendy has been in tremendous form this season with six clean sheets in nine league matches.

Defence: Christensen, Sarr, Chalobah

But there could be some changes at the back for Chelsea from their 3-0 win at Newcastle last weekend.

Thiago Silva is likely to drop to the bench as he's not been used by Tuchel in consecutive games to give the Brazilian some rest. 

Antonio Rudiger may also be given time off given he only recently returned from an injury.

Malang Sarr and Trevoh Chalobah have already proven they are capable of stepping in when needed after lining up alongside each other in the 1-0 win over Brentford.
