RB Leipzig confirm major move as Conor Gallagher gets England World Cup squad nod

Oliver Mintzlaff, a former director of football of RB Leipzig who just announced his resignation from the German club, will take a CEO position at Red Bull Group.

The pre-arranged Christopher Nkunku deal with Chelsea has come under scrutiny as a result of Todd Boehly's quick action in securing a precautionary medical and moving to a preliminary transfer agreement.

Graham Potter wants to improve his team's offensive, but rumours out of Germany indicate that the deal is nearly done and that a transfer announcement is imminent.

Chelsea, who had previously considered Mintzlaff as a candidate for their own sporting director position, will see a significant boost as a result of this.

Gallagher joins the England team

Gallagher, Conor has been announced as part of Gareth Southgate's 26-man England squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The 22-year-old has had a massive U-turn in form since Thomas Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea and has worked his way into contention just six weeks after being dropped into the England Under-21 squad by Southgate.

Since then, Gallagher has returned to a more natural No.8 role in midfield and scored his first goal for his boyhood club under Graham Potter's management. Gallagher is included in the squad, whereas Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah both missed out.

Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling were also named, as expected.
